To help disseminate relevant information to library users, and in the spirit of community partnership, we support the promotion of non-library events and services that are of direct interest to our Queen’s community. For this reason, we welcome educational and creative electronic images/slides or videos from faculties/departments across Queen’s University, that would be of interest to the people who use our spaces, provided they do not interfere with library operations and the scholarly environment of an academic library.
Digital materials may be displayed on our screens, provided that the contents are appropriate for a public audience within the context of a scholarly community.
Specifically, to be displayed on our screens, images/videos need to:
- align with library and Queen’s University strategic goals, and the vision and mission of the library.
- be consistent with relevant university policies and guidelines (e.g., Queen’s University Student Code of Conduct and Harassment/Discrimination Complaint Policy and Procedure)
- include the name of the sponsor (if not library generated) and all images must be of professional quality.
- be non-commercial and may not advertise commercial products or services.
While the library is not responsible for the content of materials produced by other campus departments, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel videos/images if deemed necessary at our discretion.
Any complaints or questions about screen content can be submitted via the usual channels outlined in Ask Us.
