About this location
Welcome to W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections. Located on the second floor of Douglas Library, this library provides access to and preserves a variety of primary and secondary source materials, including rare books, maps, posters, and ephemeral collections like postcards, pamphlets, and stereoscopic cards.

Accessibility
Queen's University Library is committed to an inclusive library community that respects the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities.
The University Avenue entrance into Douglas Library is wheelchair accessible. This entrance is equipped with a ramp and automatic door openers. Two elevators are available on the ground floor and are marked with Braille.
There are metered accessible parking spaces available on Albert Street at Union Street and at Union Street near Division Street.
The W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections public service desk on the second floor (level 6) is accessible.
There are two accessible elevators. Elevators provide access to all floors in the library. Controls inside the elevators are Brailed.
Accessible washrooms are available.

The group study room at Jordon Special Collections is available to graduate students.

At the heart of our collections is the extensive Edith and Lorne Pierce Collection of Canadiana, a vast repository of Canadian histories and literatures.
