Preparations for Fall 2025 are underway at the library and we invite faculty and course instructors to submit their Course Reserves requests as soon as possible to ensure that course materials are available to your students via onQ or in our print reserves collection on the first day of classes. Please send your reading lists and course information to library.reserves@queensu.ca by August 5, 2025

Book orders and copyright permissions require more lead time so please consider requesting these items in advance of this deadline. It is helpful if your course site is already activated in onQ but not required. Course Reserves requests that are submitted after August 5, 2025 will be processed but some course materials may not be available on the first day of classes.

Please note that the library is no longer accepting faculty copies to place in our print reserves collection. Instead, we will acquire copies of requested course materials for student use.

For assistance, please review our Course Reserves Guide or contact Katelyn Couch, Course Reserves Coordinator

Our Course Reserves service is the easiest way to ensure that course materials comply with Queen’s new Copyright Compliance and Administration Policy, including Appendix A: Fair Dealing Requirements, and the Canadian Copyright Act. If you have copyright-related questions, please contact Meaghan Shannon, Copyright Libarian:  or visit our Copyright Information for Faculty Guide.
