Online Resource Access

Introduction

Most resources are available through Omni or the A-Z database list after you login using your Queen's NetID and password.

If you run into any issue connecting from off-campus, please let us know via our Ask Us service or view our Frequently Asked Questions.

Most resources are available through Omni or the A-Z database list after you login.

To access resources from Google Scholar, please see our Connect Google Scholar to Library Resources page.

You can add our prefix using the Open Athens link creator. You will then be prompted to login.

Please note the link creator will only work for resources that we have access to. You should select Queen's as the institution to begin. The tool will prompt you if we do not have access to the resource.

A valid NetID is required for authentication. Access to the library’s online resources is provided for:

  • Current students (full time and part time)
  • Faculty members (including Emeritus professors or retired professors with an active NetID or library card)
  • Current employees (including permanents, temporary, contract, and visiting)
  • Users who are sponsored by a department (via the department’s IT Administrative Representative)
  • Alumni (to select resources)
  • Community members (on-campus only, please see our Information Services desk for more information)

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide online access for:

  • Former staff
  • Students who are not currently enrolled and paying tuition fees
  • Adjunct professors or lecturers who do not have a current or future teaching contract
  • Community members off-campus
