Progress on the Stauffer Library ground floor renovation continues this month, and as a result there will be intermittent construction noise throughout the week beginning Monday September 9.
While the project manager is working to keep disruption to a minimum, the work will consist of some core drilling and loud concrete work. Noise will be most notable on the lower level and 1st floor, but it will be heard throughout the building.
Please visit the Information Services Desk on the second floor if you would like a pair of earplugs to help block out the noise, or a recommendation on another library space if you are looking for silent study.
We appreciate the support that we have received from the Queen’s community throughout this renovation and improvements to Stauffer Library’s main floor. We believe the enhanced accessibility and more welcoming and modern space will be well worth these temporary disruptions.
