Accessibility upgrades to Watson Hall have been underway since mid-June. The excavation stage of this project is scheduled to occur between June 22 and July 3. During this period, heavy equipment will be used to dig along the building foundation and break rock for the installation of the elevator pit. Occupants in Watson Hall and nearby buildings should anticipate frequent noise and vibration interruptions while these activities are in progress. The Watson Hall LINQ may be impacted.

This work is part of Queen’s series of coordinated infrastructure upgrades on main campus, beginning in May 2026. The work—collectively known as Project Connect—includes four major projects spanning the area from Macintosh-Corry and Ellis halls in the north to Bader Lane in the south, and from University Avenue west to Watson Hall.
