Applications to the Queen’s Scholarly Publishing Fund are now being accepted until April 15.

The Queen’s Scholarly Publication Fund provides financial assistance to Queen’s researchers for the costs associated with publishing scholarly books. Applications are adjudicated twice yearly, with deadlines of April 15 and October 15.

Two types of funding are available:

  1. Subventions: Up to $5,000 when the publisher’s contract requires an author subvention for the book to be published.
  2. Other publication costs: Up to $2,000 to cover the costs of adding material or engaging services. This includes professional indexing, copyright clearance/permissions, preparation of camera-ready text or graphics, obtaining translations or illustrations, or preparation and reproduction of materials such as maps that would enhance the publication.
