Get a head start on your research skills by attending a Westlaw Edge Canada training session, taught by Thomson Reuters Customer Education Manager, Allison Bale. 

These sessions are open to all Queen’s University students and staff. Choose between an introductory or an advanced skills session or both: 

Introduction to Westlaw Edge Canada 

  • Begin your research using the Canadian Encyclopedic Digest & other authoritative commentary
  • Learn how to quickly locate case law and legislation · Learn how to note up cases and legislation using KeyCite Canada
  • Learn time-saving tips and tricks 

Westlaw Edge Canada Advanced Training 

  • Construct precision searches using advanced search techniques.
  • Research international sources, law journals, and other expert commentary.
  • Locate court documents and factums and find precedents with O’Brien’s Encyclopedia of Forms.
  • Learn what content is available in Practical Law Canada.
